Privacy Policy

Launch Party notifies you when creators you follow release new products. This policy describes what we collect, why, and how to delete it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to deliver the notifications you asked for, we don't run ads, we don't sell or share data for marketing, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.

What we collect

Email address — only if you choose to sign in. You can use Launch Party without an account: browsing and following work anonymously. Sign-in is by emailed magic link; we never see or store a password.
Device record — an internal random device ID, platform (e.g. iOS), and app version, so your follows work without an account. If you turn on notifications, we also store the push token Apple/Google issues for your device.
Follows — which creators you follow. That's the product.
Delivery records — which notifications we sent to your device, with status and error diagnostics, so we never send the same alert twice.
Usage events — an event log of funnel steps (page view, install, notification opt-in, follow, delivered, tapped) keyed by internal random IDs. These events contain no name, email, or other directly identifying information.
Web visits — public share pages set one first-party cookie (nf_anon, a random ID, kept up to a year) so repeat visits count as one visitor. No third-party cookies, no ad or analytics trackers.
Creator profiles — if you register as a creator: your handle, display name, sign-in email, and the drops and store links you publish. Drops and buy links are public by design.

What we don't collect

No name, no location, no contacts, no photos, no payment details. Buy links open the seller's own site — purchases happen there, and we never see what you buy or how you pay.

How we use it

Only to run the service: deliver the notifications you signed up for, sign you in, restore your follows on a new device, and measure in aggregate whether notifications get delivered and used. Nothing is used for advertising, profiling, or sale.

Service providers

We run on a small set of infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf: Google Cloud (hosting; push delivery via Firebase Cloud Messaging), Apple (push delivery via APNs), Neon (database hosting), and Proton (sending sign-in emails). Notification content (drop title, creator name, link) passes through Apple and Google to reach your device. None of these providers may use your data for their own marketing.

Security

All traffic is HTTPS. Sign-in links are single-use and expire within minutes; sign-in tokens and session tokens are stored hashed. On iOS, your session is kept in the system Keychain.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account or device is active. To delete your account, open the app and choose Account → Delete account — this permanently removes your account, devices, follows, sessions, and sign-in tokens. De-identified usage events (internal random IDs only, linkable to no one once the account is gone) are retained for aggregate statistics.

Your choices

Use the app without an account or notifications — both are optional.
Turn notifications off anytime in iOS Settings.
Unfollow any creator to stop their alerts.
Email us to access, correct, or delete data tied to your email.

Children

Launch Party is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date.
